      Author Donald C MacPherson was born in Bohuntin, Lochaber and was a pupil of the Gaelic Grammarian James Munro. He was a member of the Advocate’s Library of Edinburgh and was also deeply involved the the collection and presentation of Gaelic stories. Date of birth is not known his obituary, published in the Transactions of the Gaelic Society of Inverness, Vol.9, states that he died prematurely in 1880.
