Linguist, Kenneth Jackson chaired and taught in the Celtic Departments of Cambridge, Edinburgh and Harvard Universities. His interest in languages is evidenced buy his focus on storyteller's dialect, which feature's the "Glug Eigeach" or "w" pronunciation of the broad l in the language. Jackson records many words with English phonetics to give readers an idea of how they are pronounced.
