Series consists of records created by The Cape Breton Highlanders during World War 2 (World War II, WW2).

Sub-series consists of correspondence, programmes, schedules, scrapbooks, and photographs belonging to Ralph Davies and Sharkey MacDonald (Charles MacDonald), former Cape Breton Highlanders and World War 2 (WW2) veterans, who were chosen to be delegates for the “30th Anniversary: The Canadians in Italy” delegation sent to Italy to commemorate the Italian Campaign and the 30th anniversary of the liberation of Italy. Delegates visited memorials, battlefields, and war cemeteries and took part in cultural and religious ceremonies to mark the occasion.

Fonds consists of "An Clachan a b'Aithne Dhomh" : description of life on the Isle of Barra in the 1800s.

Collection consists of the diary Annie Whitfield kept during her trip to Russia with the Canadian Women’s Working Delegation in 1930, a six page biography of Annie written by Maggie Whitfield, a typewritten history about Annie and members of her immediate family written by Kelly Whitfield, and two digitized photographs of Annie with family members.
