          Item consists of a speech given by Dr. MacMillan welcoming a man from Scotland to Cape Breton. He has come to Cape Breton for the annual Gaelic Mod Festival in Baddeck. Dr. MacMillan talks about the similarities between Scotland and Cape Breton as well as the predominant highland and Gaelic culture in parts of Cape Breton.

Theresa Mac Lellan and Ron Reilly perform piano and fiddle selections. [Sound is distorted on final third of Side A of tape]. Side B: The Best Family perform "Loch Lomond" and Bonny Lassie". Ross Mac Donald sings a Gaelic song. Donnie Mac Donald, violin, and Theresa Mac Lellan, piano, play Scottish music for stepdancer Eliot Mac Donald. Bessie Mac Eachern sings a song in Gaelic, followed by Viola and Debbie Mac Donald singing the English version. [Sound distortion on this part of tape from overlapping channels].
