    General note

    Author, K.W.G ( Katharine Whyte Grant ), was of the first well-known writers of Scottish Gaelic fiction and translated many works from English into Gaelic. She was the niece of poet, author and translator Henry Whyte (also known by the pen-name “Fionn”) of Easdale and Glasgow, Scotland.
