Album consists of a series of photographs taken at a the Braune Messe (Jewish Goods / Merchant Boycott Fair) intended to encourage boycott of Jewish made goods and Jewish merchants. The event took place in Quedlinburg, Germany between September 30 - October 3, 1933. The images feature members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nazi Party) the year the party came into power. Also included in the album are a series of newspaper clippings and unidentified family photographs.

Sub-series consists of correspondence, programmes, schedules, scrapbooks, and photographs belonging to Ralph Davies and Sharkey MacDonald (Charles MacDonald), former Cape Breton Highlanders and World War 2 (WW2) veterans, who were chosen to be delegates for the “30th Anniversary: The Canadians in Italy” delegation sent to Italy to commemorate the Italian Campaign and the 30th anniversary of the liberation of Italy. Delegates visited memorials, battlefields, and war cemeteries and took part in cultural and religious ceremonies to mark the occasion.
Fonds consists of Poetry and correspondence of Mr. MacFarlane, as well as
several scrapbooks and postcards of WWI.
