In 1942, Frank Robertson initiated a job printing business in New Waterford which he operated until 1966. In 1968, he joined the Cape Breton Bird Society and soon began writing his weekly column For the Birds for the Cape Breton Post. In 1978 he began a series for CBC.

The Council was organized to encourage the development, performance and presentation of the creative, visual and performing arts in Inverness County. Fonds consist of the following: constitution (1983) and report submitted to Inverness County Council (1984).

Fonds consist of a collection of folk stories from the Petit de Grat area, Isle Madame, told in French-Acadian during July-August, 1979. Included are photographs of the informants and places of interest in Petit de Grat (see T-1180).
File consists of various newspaper clippings re: New Waterford pianist Margaret MacPhee, including her obituary. File also contains a copy of Greg MacLeod's eulogy delivered at her funeral in 1997, and a remembrance article from The Cape Bretoner (Summer 1999).
