Next to Amy, with the dark straw hat, is her sister Olive. The man with the beard on the left hand side half way up the haystack is Captain Joseph Levi Phillips, who with his partner, Joe Nicol, ran the ferry service on the Mira River. The man with the beard second from the right on top of the haystack is Captain Joe Nicol.
