The following fonds consist of correspondence, memorandum, printed material, and clippings regarding genealogy and family history of Francis Stevens, notebooks on botany with free hand illustrations by William C. Stevens, Francis' father the botanist at Kansas University, biography of William C. Stevens, reviews of Cape Breton cultural events and concerts, newspaper clippings and scrapbooks, and photographs.

Fond consists of the following poem entitled “The MacDonald-Lynch Wrestling Match” by D. D. MacKenzie (1859-1927) of Lake Ainslie and North Sydney. He was M.P. for Cape Breton North-Victoria, 1904-1923 and judge of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. The poem is a tribute to Dr. H. N. (Hudy) MacDonald who won the wrestling championship of America 16 August 1881.

Fonds consists of history of Victoria County by George G. Patterson. Together with a short History of Baddeck by the late Robert Elmsley.

In 1942, Frank Robertson initiated a job printing business in New Waterford which he operated until 1966. In 1968, he joined the Cape Breton Bird Society and soon began writing his weekly column For the Birds for the Cape Breton Post. In 1978 he began a series for CBC.

1. Correspondence and papers pertaining to publication of an anthology of verse by Cape Breton authors, 192-1930. Original and typescript, 2 cm.

They are all based on his actual experiences and give a vivid picture of life in a small community in Cape Breton at that time.

Norman Lipschutz was born in Poland in 1921 and emigrated to Glace Bay in 1932. Fonds consist of the following: Lipschutz is the author of "The Cape Breton Mirror" and of "Victory Through Darkness and Despair." Records also include photocopy of scrapbooks
kept by Lipschutz comprising correspondence, book reviews and newspaper articles.
