Biographical history
Michael Kelly was born in 1887 and worked in various mines in Cape Breton between 1900 and 1952.
Custodial history
Records were donated by John De Roche, University College of Cape Breton.
Scope and content
Fonds consists of a diary kept by Kelly of personal reminiscences regarding his life as a coal miner in Cape Breton. Within these records are lists of miners' deaths with their dates and causes, details of industrial disputes and his daily life pattern.
