Have you found something you like on the Beaton Institute’s Digital Archives?

If you locate an image that you would like to share via social media, click on the Facebook, Twitter, or Email icons located at the top right of the page. You may also print or save a copy of the image to use for personal or non-commercial use. Right-click on the image and you will receive a menu of actions.

The images provided on the Digital Archives are in 72 ppi (pixels per inch) for web resolution, which means the print quality of these images will be low. If you require a high-resolution image for personal use or fair dealing purposes, or if you require content for commercial use - Broadcast, Exhibition or Publication - you will need to contact the Beaton Institute for more information. Please consult the reproduction fee information below.

Any use of images from the Digital Archives (whether for personal research, non-commercial purposes, educational use, commercial use or publication) must be accompanied by a citation with the following information: “Title, date. Creator. Reference number. Beaton Institute, Cape Breton University.”

Please note: Copyright and other rights requirements are the responsibility of the user; the Beaton Institute will not provide indemnity against losses or costs incurred by third-party claims of ownership or copyright.
